【摘要】:Thisprocedurefacilitatesthecomparisonofdifferenttypesorgradesofasbestosbasedontheircontributiontotheflexuralmodulusofrupture;thatis,thereinforcingvalue,whichisconsideredthemostpertinentpropertyforthemanufactureofasbestos-cementproducts.Thistestmethodisprimarilyintendedforfibergradesusednormallyinasbestos-cementproducts(Group6toGroup4fibers).Longerfibers(Group3)orshorterfibers(Group7)maypresentdifficultiesduringthepreparationofthefiltercakebecauseofpoordispersionandunevensettling.51.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurement,onalaboratoryscale,ofthecontributionofasbestosfiberstothestrengthofasbestos-cementproducts.Theresultsobtainedareusedintheprimaryassessmentofdifferentfibergradespriortotheirapplicationonalargerscale.1.2Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofthemodulusofrupture(MR),adjustedtoadrydensityof1.60Mg/m3(MRA),ofasbestos-cementtestspecimensthatcontaintheasbestosfibertobeevaluatedataconcentrationof10mass%,wherebythedegreeoffiberizationofthatfiberisspecifiedintermsofspecificsurfaceareaasdeterminedbyTestMethodD2752.TherelativereinforcingvalueofthefiberundertestisestablishedbycomparisonwithMRAvaluesobtainedwithafiberofknowncharacteristicsatafiberconcentrationof10%andadrydensityof1.60Mg/m3(1.60g/cm3).Note1Theadjustedmodulusofrupture(MRA)atanyintermediatefiberconcentrationmaybeinterpolatedfromresultssuitablydeterminedoveralimitedspanningrangeoffiberconcentrations.Forexample,theMRAat10%fiberconcentrationmaybegraphicallydeterminedfromdataat3and17%.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Breathingofasbestosdustishazardous.Asbestosandasbestosproductspresentdemonstratedhealthrisksforusersandforthosewithwhomtheycomeintocontact.Inadditiontootherprecautions,whenworkingwithasbestos-cementproducts,minimizethedustthatresults.Forinformationonthesafeuseofchrysotileasbestos,referto"SafeUseofChrysotile:AManualonPreventiveandControlMeasures."Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
